Request a Sandbox Course Site

This page contains information and a request form for Sandbox Course Sites. To request a Live Course Site for the upcoming academic term, please follow the instruction found on this page.

 

Sandbox Course Sites

Sandbox Course Sites are not associated with credit course sections or academic terms. These sites are typically used for:

  • Developing Content
  • Practicing Using the System and Features
  • Testing and Debugging Tools
  • Archiving Old Materials

The Sandbox Request form is no longer active.

Sandbox Course requests have transitioned to the Rutgers Sandbox Request application. Rutgers Sandbox Request streamlines the request process for Rutgers instructors and Canvas administrators to request and approve sandbox course sites. To submit a sandbox request, Rutgers instructors should navigate to view All Canvas Courses and click the Sandbox Request button.

While each request will continue to be reviewed by a Rutgers OIT Canvas administrator, sandbox courses will now be created automatically once approved. Instructors will receive a course invitation on their Canvas Dashboard as soon as the setup is complete.
