Update Chrome Browser to Avoid Chrome 87 Bug Affecting Math Equations

Rutgers Canvas recommends that all students update their Chrome browser or use Firefox.  There is a known Chrome v87 bug that causes minus signs to become minimized which may impact students taking exams.  Alternatively, Canvas users may turn off hardware acceleration mode while logged into Rutgers Canvas.  This bug does not affect Respondus LockDown Browser.

Student Withdrawals and Warning Grades in Canvas

Students who withdraw from a course after the add/drop period will remain on the Canvas enrollment roster. Their course status is changed from “active” to “inactive”. Inactive enrollments cannot view the course on their dashboard or access any of the course content. Additionally, inactive enrollments will not receive messages from the course.
