VoiceThread allows you to create multimedia discussions and projects for your course that your students can interact with. This may sound simple, but the tool’s inherent flexibility opens up a world of possibilities. In an era where text is not enough and our learning is so highly influenced by visuals, VoiceThread offers a wonderful solution to the plain old recorded lecture. Apart from being a great tool for instructors you can custom build assignments from within Sakai for your students where they have to create VoiceThreads, comment on them or simply watch them.
Rutgers Instructors may download instructions for how to use VoiceThread by accessing Rutgers Canvas Commons (first) to import VoiceThread Set-up Module and Documentation into your course.
Rutgers has an enterprise license. Instructors should add Voicethread as an external tool to Modules to access.
