Access to Respondus LockDown Browser Dashboard Restored

As previously posted, course instructors were unable to access the Respondus LockDown Browser LTI Dashboard in their Canvas course sites.  Around 10 pm on April 30, 2026, OIT LMS Help Desk received reports that course instructors could not launch the dashboard in their Canvas courses to enable the use of LockDown Browser for new assessments or edit the settings for existing assessments. Testing revealed that the exam and quiz requirement to use LockDown Browser was in place for students. Respondus posted an announcement concerning the LockDown Browser Dashboard Error for Canvas.

Respondus and Instructure resolved this issue at 11:37 (EDT) on May 1, 2026. Please check the status of Respondus Monitor or Instructure for additional information. Thank you for your patience.
