Rutgers.eduInstructure, the parent company of Canvas, will perform a maintenance event on Rutgers Canvas on Monday, August 10, 2026. This event may last up to 1 hour and will start at 5 AM EST (9:00 AM UTC). As part of our ongoing efforts to modernize systems and complete large-scale software versioning improvements, Instructure will upgrade the database infrastructure on Rutgers Canvas. This is critical maintenance necessary to keep the system current, high-performing, and aligned with security and compliance standards. Although the maintenance event will last an hour, Instructure expects only a portion of that time to impact your account availability.
