Rutgers.eduRutgers Canvas is pleased to announce the release of the Rutgers Sandbox Request application. Rutgers Sandbox Request streamlines the request process for Rutgers instructors and Canvas administrators to request sandbox course sites. To submit a sandbox request, Rutgers instructors should navigate to view All Canvas Courses and click the Sandbox Request button. Sandbox sites are not connected to official course rosters—they’re flexible spaces designed for content development, experimentation, and course planning.
While each request will continue to be reviewed by a Rutgers OIT Canvas administrator, sandbox courses will now be created automatically once approved. Instructors will receive a course invitation on their Canvas Dashboard as soon as the setup is complete.
This new process reduces wait times and helps instructors get started faster with building and refining their course materials.
