On Tuesday, August 28, 2024, PlayPosit released a patch into Rutgers Canvas production instance. This patch prevents a second account creation and validate that all grades were sent to the Canvas gradebook. On September 4, 2024, it was reported that users were still unable to sync grades from PlayPosit into Rutgers Canvas. The root cause was identified.

On October 3, 2024, PlayPosit released another patch into Rutgers production instance. This patch was to resolve the grade sync error from PlayPosit to Rutgers Canvas. Course instructors are required to launch each PlayPosit assignment. Instructors are can to do the following actions:

  • For past assignments, launch the Monitor page in PlayPosit and select Sync Grade to push the grades to the gradebook. Note, it may take a few minutes for all the grades to fully sync to the gradebook.
  • If students received late deductions for previous assignments, instructors can edit the due dates within the assignment settings to remove the deducted points.
