As of the evening of, Friday, May 8, Canvas is accessible to Rutgers users. OIT will continue to monitor closely as we work to restore our normal operations following the Canvas global outage. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 833-OIT-HELP and choose option 7.

Canvas Conferences: Viewer Webcam Sharing Disabled

Blindside Networks, the parent company of Canvas Conferences, has informed Rutgers Canvas that the ability of viewers to see fellow participant web cameras has been disabled.  Moderators will still be able to share their web cameras, see up to 20 participant web cameras,  and viewers will be able to view the moderator web camera stream.

Streaming viewer web cameras affected all Canvas Conference users and resulted in a degradation of service for all users.  Blindside Networks is actively working hard to increase its capacity.
