Root Cause for PlayPosit GradeSync Issues Identified

As previously announced, users are experiencing issues when syncing grades for PlayPosit submissions in Rutgers Canvas after the release of a patch. The Rutgers Canvas admins worked with PlayPosit developers to determine the root cause of the failure. PlayPosit developers are conducting analysis to determine the best method to resolve these issues. This will require development. The PlayPosit developers are confident that the development work will take less time to release than the patch released at the end of August.

Once the update is released, course instructors will need to click on each assignment in Canvas to trigger grade sync.  Students may continue with completing PlayPosit assignments but grades may not pass to the Canvas gradebook for some users until after PlayPosit has been updated. The grades are retained in PlayPosit and the aim to to resume automatic grade sync once development has been completed.
