Rutgers.eduRutgers Canvas is pleased to announce the release of new features for Hypothesis, a social annotation tool that engages students more deeply in course readings and gives teachers a view into how students are reading.
With this release instructors may now:
- Select a Canvas Page for annotation as a Hypothesis assignment within Canvas Assignments. This new feature is ideal for instructors who have curated instructional material within your Canvas course. Instructors can assess an annotated assignment in Speedgrader, assign reading/annotation to a particular Canvas Group and set availability and due dates.
- Export and import annotations/notes within Hypothesis. Users can export publicly shared notes, notes in private groups, your own private annotation and highlights. Instructors will be able to export their own annotations and import those annotations into a new site which has the copied assignment. This streamlines course and assignment set-up.
