Starting around 11:06 EST on December 7, 2021, users were experiencing long load times and time-out errors in Canvas; as well as, issues with other services such as Respondus Monitor and Voicethread. These issues were due to an impairment of network devices associated with Amazon Web Services, the hosting provider. Amazon and service vendors worked to resolve the issue. Significant recovery was reported at 5:04 EST with all issues resolved at 7:35 EST,
Canvas instructors are encouraged to extend due dates for quizzes and assignments that were due on December 7 at 5 pm EST.
