Rutgers.eduRutgers Canvas is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the Akindi Student Portal. To minimize disruption to Summer Session courses, Rutgers Canvas will enforce the feature upgrade on May 13, 2021 at 11 AM (ET). This update offers a number of new features and streamlined workflows for instructors who use Online Assessments with Akindi:
- Allow students to access their Akindi assessments from the ‘Launch Akindi’ link in the Canvas course navigation.
- Increased security since students will authenticate through the Canvas course shell and ensure that the assessment link cannot be opened from any other location.
- Improved student test-taking experience with students seeing all of their assessments in a single location and ensure they never lose an assessment email-link.
Once the upgrade has been completed, Rutgers Canvas instructors will need to enable Akindi by managing their course navigation links including past courses and templates where Akindi was previously visible in the course navigation.
