As of the evening of, Friday, May 8, Canvas is accessible to Rutgers users. OIT will continue to monitor closely as we work to restore our normal operations following the Canvas global outage. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 833-OIT-HELP and choose option 7.

Rutgers Canvas is operating normally

Starting around 4:29 EST, users were unable to access Canvas and received heavy load messages and page errors. Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, began investigating the issue and identified the issue. Instructure reported at 4:59 EST that a fix was being implemented. Instructure will continue to monitor the results to ensure no further impact.

Canvas instructors are encouraged to extend due dates for quizzes and assignments that were due on March 3 at 5 pm EST.
