As of the evening of, Friday, May 8, Canvas is accessible to Rutgers users. OIT will continue to monitor closely as we work to restore our normal operations following the Canvas global outage. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 833-OIT-HELP and choose option 7.

Canvas: Google Apps Maintenance event on 10/16

Instructure, the parent company of Canvas, will be performing maintenance on the Google Apps LTI in Rutgers Canvas on Wednesday, October 16th starting at 3:15 AM ET (7:15 AM UTC; click here to find out when you’ll be affected.). Instructure will be performing maintenance over a two hour period of time. Rutgers users will not be able to access Google Apps for about 10 minutes of time within the maintenance window.

During this 10-minute period, users will not be able to:

  • Use Collaborations.
  • Access Google LTI documents post in Canvas
  • Submit assignments via the Google tab.
