Rutgers University Office of Information Technology has announced a scheduled downtime on Saturday, June 1, 2019, starting at 7 AM; the downtime will last for 24-36 hours. This is required to perform planned enhancements, maintenance, and repairs. This work will reduce the risk of outages and make it easier to conduct data center maintenance without major interruptions.
In preparation for the planned downtime, Canvas automated roster management process will power down starting at 5 PM, May 31, 2019 and will be re-enabled on Monday, June 3, 2019. During this period, course rosters will not be updated. This safety protocol will ensure that registered students continue to have access to their courses.
During this down time, we expect some Rutgers websites and services to be unavailable or be intermittently available including course support emails and convenience urls. The canvas.rutgers.edu website should be available.
