How to provide accommodations for students in Canvas Quizzes

To provide accommodations for quizzes on Canvas, please review the guides below depending on whether they are Classic or New Quizzes.

Resources:

Depending on your Canvas Quiz settings, instructors may need to both use the Moderate this Quiz option to increase the amount of time a student has to complete the quiz once launched and Edit this Quiz to extend the window available to complete the quiz. If the Canvas Quiz settings are set so that the availability window (when a student is allowed to take the quiz) is the same as the quiz time limit, then instructors should edit the quiz settings, in particular the Assign To: option, to provide your student with a longer availability window to take your quiz. The Assign To option does not increase the length of time a student has to complete the quiz, just the date and time (window) when the Quiz will become available for students to take the quiz before automatically closing.
